Growing up in the picturesque South West of Ireland, I was always enchanted by the stories, culture, and natural beauty of my homeland.
As a Chartered Accountant and a qualified National Tour Guide of Ireland, I’ve combined my love of exploration with professional expertise to establish Dunes & Drams. My passion for travel runs deep – inspired by world travels, years of experience in my family’s travel business, and fond memories of caddying at the Old Head Golf Links during my college summers.
I’m proud to bring all of this together to create authentic, unforgettable journeys through Ireland.
With over 40 years of experience in the Irish travel industry, Bernard serves as a trusted advisor to Dunes & Drams. Over 30 years ago, he founded an IATA-accredited travel agency, Bernard Hayes Travel, in Cork City, Ireland, which continues to trade successfully today, serving a loyal clientele. His deep understanding of the tourism landscape – from supplier relationships to seamless execution – helps ensure that every Dunes & Drams journey meets the highest standards of service and authenticity.
